Sales of Russia’s AvtoVAZ may fall 24% to 70,000 cars Jan–Mar
MOSCOW, Mar 17 (PRIME) -- Sales of major Russian car maker AvtoVAZ may contract by 23.6% to about 70,000 cars in January–March, Denis Petrunin, the company’s vice president for sales and marketing, told reporters Tuesday.
“We will see – 25,000; 26,000 or 27,000 (cars), maybe more. About 70,000 cars (will be sold in January–March) in total,” Petrunin said.
In 2014, AvtoVAZ sold 37,060 cars in March and 91,600 cars in January–March.
According to the data of the Association of the European Businesses, AvtoVAZ’ sales fell 23.5% on the year to 23,639 cars in February and went down 24.6% to 41,131 cars in January–February.
